I’m always excited for every ITEX show, and proud when they turn out to be big successes. It’s no different for ITEX 2020. We are once again welcoming some great collocation partners such as Agent Dealer, Pros Elite, ecoprintQ, and Evolved Office. Exhibitors are vying for space to demo the best in products, services, and solutions. Education always shines at ITEX, and it will be even brighter this year. But there will be something exceedingly special about ITEX 2020, and honestly, I haven’t been this inspired about an upcoming show for a while. Here’s why—ITEX has partnered with The Jillian Fund and has chosen this wonderful foundation to be our ‘charity of choice.’
The Jillian Fund was founded in 2013 by a group of inspired and caring individuals who set forth to fulfill a simple wish: to help families in need. The main objective of The Jillian Fund is to provide financial support to families with children who are suffering from life-threatening and life-altering illnesses and who require critical care.
One of The Jillian Fund founders, George Gorman, is the father of the foundation’s namesake. George is with Ricoh, and his tireless advocacy for ill children and their families has inspired Ricoh and others in our industry to rally support behind this meaningful cause. The Patriot Pack, lead by Mike Stramaglio, President of All Covered, is a group of motorcycle riders from the office technologies space who undertake a cross-country ride each year to support the nonprofit. My wish is that ITEX will be the galvanizing force in getting the whole industry behind supporting The Jillian Fund.
To kick-off the intention, ITEX will recognize The Jillian Fund at its keynote luncheon on April 14th in Orlando, Florida at the Gaylord Palms Resort. We will also donate a portion of ITEX 2020 trade show proceeds to The Jillian Fund, as well as provide complimentary exhibit space to the foundation. The Patriot Pack will help man the booth to share its story and raise awareness and funds for the foundation.
